1200 Valentine - Sexy Valentine dress with matching choker

This is Valentine - a really sexy little dress pictured here in red taffeta with white trimmings.

The top is low cut and shaped over the bust and the back is straight across at underarm level.The waist is part elasticated and the back has a zip fastening. Narrow elasticated shoulder straps help to hold the top in place. The skirt is full circle and has two layers - the top layer is trimmed with lace and pulled up to show off the lace underlayer.

The bib apron is fixed to the dress at the waist and at the top of the bib - the waist ties are loose so you can tie the apron as tight as you need to. The apron is then trimmed with little bows to match the main colour of the dress.

A mid length easy-fit dress made in satin.

1020 Mariette - 1950s Taffeta party dress

Our fitted dress style with a square neckline at the front and low zip-up back. The neckline and short sleeves are trimmed with narrow lace, and there are ribbon ties around the neck. The skirt is full circle but cut wide open at the front to reveal the petticoat. The skirt is approx 22" long at its longest point at the back.

The petticoat is a separate item but included with the dress. The petticoat is full circle, and has two layers of tiered see-through nylon - so the hem is incredibly full. The finished petticoat is still slightly see-through - great for showing off frilly knickers or bloomers underneath. However, if you prefer, we can add a "modesty" layer underneath - just tick the box to include this.

1017 Jasmin - Gingham dress with built in corset

Made in poly-cotton gingham and see-through nylon, "Jasmin" is a delightful dress.

The top is our easy-fit elasticated top made in see-through nylon, with gingham frills at the neck and sleeves. The waist is elasticated, and then the skirt is full circle and made in two layers - a gingham underskirt about 20" long with a see-through overlay.

Of course the main feature of the dress is the corset top. Made from plain cotton, the waist corset is sewn into the side seams of the dress and is lightly boned to give shape and definition. The front has a hook and eye fastening, and the back has eyelets and ribbon so you can pull the corset as tight as you want. Attached to the corset is a shaped bust in gingham, with ribbon shoulder ties.

A lot of work goes into each dress, but we think the finished effect is stunning.

"Daisy". A complete delight!

Bodice has a round neck with a Peter Pan collar and short puff sleeves. It has a zip-up back and an elasticated waist so is an easy fit.

The skirt is full circle and made in 3 layers. Each layer is 2 tiers, edged with lace, about 15" long in total. The bottom two layers are in white, and the top layer is the colour of your choice. Over the top of that is an additional short layer, just 9" long, which goes all the way around and looks like an apron - we have added a bib front with long wide shoulder frills and a cute heart-shaped panel on the bib.

How many times to you get home and want to "slip into something more comfortable" - something that isn't nightwear, daywear or lingerie, but is frilly?! Here is your answer - we are calling it "Lounge Wear" - and if you want something in satin and organza with more frills and ruffles than you could ever dream of, this is the answer!

0854 Ruffle Sleeve Dress. This dress has a high yoke, with a gathered skirt and is approximately 36" from shoulder to hem. There is very little lace trim or ruffle - except for the sleeves! The sleeves are a mass or organza ruffles!

0855 Frilled Organza Over-Shirt. This "house-coat" is sleeveless, so that the fantastic ruffled sleeves of the dress show through. But the over-shirt has a huge ruffle all the way down the front and around the hem, and a ribbon tie at the front. At the back it has a V-shaped organza frill and a huge organza bow.

0650 Fifties Style Cotton Dress with fitted bodice and very gathered skirt

Remember the styles of the 1950's?

This dress is typical of the style of that era - tight bodice, VERY full calf length skirt, and a zip-up back. There is a wide frill all around the neckline, which doubles up as sleeves - the dress itself is actually sleeveless. Edged with narrow lace, we think this produces a really elegant look.

The skirt is SO full, we cannot offer this dress in satin as satin is too heavy to gather enough to create the effect - however, we have a range of cottons available and will be adding to the selection when we can.

The bodice on this dress is VERY fitted - as was the style - so be very sure of your bust and waist sizes - if in doubt please go to our "size charts and general information" page, and enter your measurements - we can then find the best size for you.
